Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-26
About the service
jim. ("the service") is a training log app run by the person behind jim. as a private side project. The service is entirely voluntary to use and requires an account: to store your programs and sessions we need to collect some data (see the privacy policy). By creating an account you accept these terms. The service is in early stage and may change or shut down with reasonable notice.
Account and access
Registration is invite-based. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and not sharing credentials. If something looks unusual an account may be paused until we have talked. Reach out at the contact email at the bottom if you have questions.
Your content
Training programs, logged sessions, bodyweight logs and any other data you enter belongs to you. You retain all rights. The service stores and processes the content solely to deliver the features. You can export your data (portability) or delete your account (erasure) at any time.
Training suggestions are not medical advice
Progressions, weight suggestions and program generation are based on general training principles. The service is not a doctor, personal trainer or physiotherapist. Consult a medical professional before starting a training program if you have health issues, are pregnant, recovering from injury, or otherwise have a reason to be cautious. You use the service at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. The person behind jim. is not liable for indirect damages, lost data, training injuries, or other consequential effects from using the service, to the extent permitted by Swedish law.
Intellectual property and use
The source code, design, brand elements (e.g. the name "jim.", the Coach Jim character) and functionality of the service belong to the person behind jim. and are protected by copyright. You may use the service according to these terms. Reverse engineering, decompilation, reuse of code or design, and automated data collection (scraping) without written permission is not allowed. You are of course free to export and use your own data (training programs, sessions, bodyweight logs).
Changes to the terms
The terms may be updated. On material changes (new purposes, new data processors, new rights) you are notified in-app and must accept the new version before continuing to use the service.
Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Disputes are resolved first through dialogue via the contact email below, secondly in Swedish general courts with Stockholm District Court as the first instance.
